After finalizing my studies of biology and physics at the University of Tübingen, Germany, my professional career brought me to glass industry in 1993.

Being product manager and sales director for a well-known industrial enterprise, among other things I was responsible for the product unit “warm edge” and its development and placement in the market.

In 2011, I started my consultant’s office for warm edge and glass.

My many years of experience and knowledge comprise the manufacturing and application of “warm edge” products – including their processing to insulating glass as well as the physical effects of those components in windows and facades.

Profound technical knowledge about and around the glass edge – about glass, windows and facades accomplishes my professional profile.

My sales experience in the market of “warm edge” is accompanied by corresponding marketing knowledge for the successful selling of those and other technically sophisticated products in glass industry.

I am a sustaining member of the German glass association BF Bundesverband Flachglas and an active member of the BF working group “warm edge” since its foundation in 1999. Until middle of 2011, I was speaker of this working group. January 2016 I was again elected to this position.

Nowadays, I advise and support manufacturers, users and sales units in the field of glass and warm edge in a wide variety of aspects, from training of employees, product development and strategies to coaching and supporting of production processes and market introductions.

Until middle of 2022, I teached the subject area of glass at the government-recognised college for glass-, window- and facade engineering in Karlsruhe, Germany. Today I am still active in online knowledge transfer with webinar series for the BF.
